#27: eBay Halloween Costume – Not Quite as Advertised
The listing promised terror—a menacing jester with a chilling skeletal grin and sharp, shadowed features. The photo screamed “professional-grade horror,” the kind of costume that could steal the spotlight at any Halloween party. Confident in his purchase, he waited eagerly to unleash chaos.

What arrived, however, looked more like a confused cartoon character than a nightmare. The skull was soft, the grin awkward, and the eyes slightly askew—as if the mask itself regretted existing. Instead of haunting the neighborhood, it probably elicited polite chuckles. eBay, once again, proving fear is subjective.
