If you ask any kids who their parents’ favorite child was, I think most would answer pretty quickly; we all have an idea of who we think our parent’s favorite is. In my family, we would all say my youngest sister, except my youngest sister, who would insist it’s someone else.

How realistic is that, do you think? I’m not sure. It is tragically, absolutely true that some parents have a favorite child and that they do not attempt to hide it. But it’s also true that some parents are much better about that. My family always teases my parents about having a favorite, but deep down, I know they love us all equally.
