#3: The Famous Voice Went Uncredited
John Forsythe was the unseen presence guiding the Angels, and that invisibility was very intentional. He stayed uncredited throughout the series because he believed mystery made Charlie more powerful. A familiar star name in the opening credits might have spoiled the illusion before the phone ever rang.

Crediting him would also have required an awkward explanation. Forsythe only provided the voice, while a stand-in appeared whenever Charlie’s back or shoulder was shown. Listing him as “voice only” felt clunky, so staying anonymous kept the fantasy smooth, sleek, and just a little more intriguing.
